Formed in April 2015, the Paignton Darts Academy is a club for juniors, interested in the sport of darts. It doesn't matter if you have never thrown a dart, or play at county level there is something for everyone. The academy is open to girls and boys aged 6 to 18 years old. Sessions take place every Saturday morning from 10am till 12pm at the Ye Olde Roundham Club, Paignton TQ3 3HL.

The Mentors are JDC qualified and DBS checked, they are there to help with everything from the basics of the throw, to providing someone to laugh at. The academy is all about having fun, whilst learning how to play darts, through a variety of games and routines.

     Competitions are held regularly and Certificates, awarded weekly for achievements. Trips to see the Darts featured on the TV and local Darts exhibitions are also held. With the members given the opportunity to play and meet their heroes.

    Since 2016 we have been a Junior Darts Corporation affiliated academy. We compete in their weekly routine and employ their ethos of having fun whilst learning. The academy uses the Green zone boards for beginners and developing players to learn without getting frustrated and disillusioned. The JDC have several tours each year around Britain and we like to enter these competitions regularly.
